GREAT BARRIER REEF

You only need to travel as far north as Hervey Bay to experience the Great Barrier Reef.

Lady Elliot Island is World Heritage Listed. The Eco Paradise is only a 40 minute flight from Hervey Bay. It is the only Coral Cay island on the Reef with an airstrip, thus allowing frequent, easy and quick access from the mainland.

The island is one of the world’s best diving and snorkeling destinations. The waters around the island consistently have greater underwater visibility than other reef locations.

A day visit and scenic flight to Lady Elliot Island gives 5 to 6 hours on the reef.

Take a guided reef walk, Island tour and depending on the season you can see turtles when they are laying and hatching (Nov-Mar) and a wide variety of bird life which visit the island to hatch and rear their young. Species of birds from as far away as Siberia and Japan visit the Island. Feed the fish, most definitely go snorkeling in the crystal clear waters and take a ride in a Glass Bottom Boat. Buffet lunch is also included.
